KOC-03 well successfully stimulated!

Viking Services successfully executed an extensive stimulation campaign and injectivity test for Transmark Turkey Gülpinar 

Last week Viking Services successfully executed an extensive stimulation campaign and injectivity test for Transmark Turkey Gülpinar on the well KOC-3 in the Kocaköy license area in Çanakkale, Turkey. KOC-3 was drilled and completed in 2016, with disappointing production and injection results.

However, a series of carefully designed well interventions led to a remarkable decrease in back pressure from the well during water injection. As a result, there is an increased understanding of the reservoir and well behavior and it is now believed that KOC-3 can even outperform the neighboring KOC-2 well in production.
